Administrative history

The Student Union of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYSU) is an independent entity from the University and which was registered under the Societies Ordinance (Cap. 151) found in 1983.

The Student Union was established in 1983 and it was first named as 'The Student Union of Hong Kong Shue Yan College (SYCSU).After Shue Yan College renamed 'Hong Kong Shue Yan University' in 2006, the Student Union also renamed 'The Student Union of Hong Kong Shue Yan University' in 2007.

The office site of the Student Union is under a concessionary rent of $1 by the University.
